Tim Shea
Husband of Mickie, 48 years, and father of two grown children. St. Mary of Sorrows parishioner since 1988, serving as an usher and various committees relating to growth of the physical plant of the parish. Member of the Knights of Columbus Council 8600 since 1990. Graduate of Loyola University, Los Angeles (now Marymount University) and University of California, Berkeley. Environmental Engineer. Past president, American Academy of Environmental Engineers (2005). Member of the Board of Marian Homes 2008-2011 and 2014-date, managing one project for addition of a sun room at Marian House and for maintenance of the properties. “Marian Homes offer the dual benefits of a home setting for intellectually disabled men and women and a respite for the parents of these men and women. The homes provide a domestic setting in which care-giving can be provided, offering the individual an environment of positive Christian living. The parents of these individuals are frequently aging and exhausted by the challenges placed in their hands, and the outpouring of gratitude from them knowing their children are well taken care of is in itself most rewarding to me as a Board member. It is a privilege to be able to serve as a Board member of Marian Homes, Inc.” |
