We Build Homes for Intellectually Disabled Adults

DONATE

Where do adults with intellectual disabilities go when their parents can no longer care for them?

Without our help, these individuals often end up in institutions. Intellectually disabled adults can live productive lives, working and contributing to society, but they cannot live alone. That's where Marian Homes, a project of Fairfax Knights of Columbus, comes in. We have purchased and remodeled seven homes in Fairfax County, VA to enable adults in the county with intellectual disabilities to live independently with others once their parents can no longer care for them.
While we are proud of the nearly forty individuals for whom we have provided group housing, there are still over 1,000 other individuals in the county who need our help. Your donation ensures more individuals have a home to go to when their parents can no longer care for them or when the facility they are in closes down. Through your generous donation, we are able to provide these adults a place to call home.

On January 15th, after almost a year of construction and restoration, Bishop Burbidge came to Our Lady of Angels home to bless the house and all who will live in it.

We would like to thank the companies who have donated over $100,000 of their time and talent to make this house a home for five individuals with intellectual disabilities.

We ask that you keep these new residents and our continued efforts in your daily prayers.
