On Friday, 14 Dec 18, the Fairfax County Fairfax County Department of Housing and Community Development notified us that it had approved our proposal to purchase, renovate, staff and operate our 6th Marian Home. The approved budget of $725,000.00 includes $450,000.00 of County funding (62% of the total) and $275,000.00 of Marian Homes equity funding (38% of the total). Our 6th Marian Home is a 5-bedroom, ranch-style, single family home located at 6218 Apache Street in Springfield, VA, in a neighborhood behind Lee High School. We are executing our transition plan which includes settlement on 31 Jan 19. Following complete renovation, we expect staffing and occupancy by 1 June 1019. Thanks to all who supported this outstanding effort! WELL DONE!
