David Sharp 

Have always supported youth programs and people with intellectual disabilities, while a student at North Texas, worked at the Denton State Supported Living Center starting his life long tradition of working with the intellectual disabled and youth across the United States.  
 
Upon graduation from North Texas University was commissioned into the United States Air Force achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.  Have worked for SRA International Inc for the past 12 years serving as a senior mentor to multiple government agencies.  My strong operations and management background is brought to bear ensure the smooth operations of the organizations he supports.  
 
A graduate of the North Texas University with a degree in History and a Master’s of Science in Safety Management degree from the University of Central Missouri, have been married to my wife Ann for over 30 years, is the father of two.  Have enjoyed working with the youth as a Boy Scout Leader, Parish Religious Education teacher and Youth Program Lead for over 30 years.  Freely gave and continues to give my time freely to the Boy Scouts of America and Catholic Parish programs across the United States.  Even today am actively involved with the Knights of Columbus Council 8600 sponsored Boy Scout Troop and Venturing Crew as well as supporting the Council’s efforts to provide scholarships and funding for the St Mary of Sorrows youth to attend the Diocese Work Camp and other great retreats and summer programs.  
 
Have been a Scout leader for over 25 years, active in the St Mary of Sorrows Council 8600 Knights of Columbus and in the Malloy 4th Degree Assembly since 1993, and served as the Council’s Grand Knight.  
 
In 2013, Elected to the Marian Homes board as a Director, bringing mu operations knowledge and management skills to help Marian Homes organization fill a gap in housing for the Northern Virginia intellectually disabled population.
