How do you determine who can be a resident. The answer is two-fold. First, Marian Homes works with Chimes to operate our homes. Both Marian Homes and Chimes are driven by the rules concerning qualification to be a resident and the source of funding. Second, Funding for services is determined by the Fairfax County Community Services Board. Chimes is a Medicaid waiver provider and get all referrals through their office. The CSB would do an assessment and determine what services are appropriate and what services the family would be eligible for. Some private insurance will pay for what is called companion services in a person’s home. Chimes does not provide that service and is not licensed for that service. If you go on the Fairfax CSB web site (http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/csb/), information on ID services is there on how to contact their office directly. The best way to get to the answer is to start with Nancy Eisele, at Chimes. Her number is 703-267-2777. Her email is email@example.com.
