Marian Homes

PRESIDENT'S LETTER

Marian Homes

P.O. Box 339
Fairfax Station, VA.
 Dear Friends,
Marian Homes was established by the St. Mary of Sorrows' Knights of Columbus Council 8600 as a legal entity to purchase and operate group homes for the mentally disadvantaged in Fairfax County. The Marian House named in honor of the Blessed Mother and dedicated in August 1998 was the first home to be purchased and represents our first step in the quest to help others.

Marian House is operated in partnership with Chimes, a national non-profit organization. The Marian House is now home to five women, living together in a family-like environment, who are now productive members of their community. One only has to meet these women to recognize the difference living in their own home has made in each of their lives and in the lives of their families!

Fairfax County has a requirement for group homes for over 500 mentally and physically disadvantaged residents. Marian Homes plans to make a dent in this need by purchasing and operating benefactors made monetary contributions towards the purchase of the Marian House.

We continue to need both your financial assistance and your prayers to enable us to pursue our goal of paying off the mortgage on this house and providing more homes in our communities. Your contributions to the Marian Homes, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, which are deductible as a charitable deduction, will help us ensure that we continue to maintain Marian House to best support the needs of the current residents, and our plans to purchase and operate additional homes in the future.

We have undertaken this endeavor out of the desire to share our blessings by helping others. We would appreciate greatly not only your financial support but also your prayers to help us achieve our goal of providing additional homes and improving the quality of life.

Thank you and May God Bless you.
                                                 Sincerely yours,

                                                 Ercole M. Barone
